Du Quoin Native Dr. Mark Clark Killed in ATV Accident

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[A prominent Independence, Mo. pediatric physician and pulmonoligist, Du Quoin native Dr. Mark Sessel Clark, 48, of Oak Grove, Mo. was killed Sunday in an ATV accident near his home.

Clark was actually born in Peoria, Ill, the son of Sessel and Violet Clark, longtime owners of the Hub Motel in Du Quoin. He was a 1981 graduate of Du Quoin High School, the SIU School of Medicine and completed his medical and pediatrics residency at Truman Medical Center and Children's Mercy Hospital in Missouri.

Surviving are his wife of 17 years, Kelly, children Gabrielle, Zachary and Allyson and his mother. His father was killed in car accident years ago outside Du Quoin.
