Madeleine J. Tritschler,

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Madeleine J. Tritschler, 84, of Benson, Ariz., formerly of Du Quoin, Ill., passed away peacefully at 10:18 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 3, 2011 at her home with her family at her side.

She was born March 15, 1927 in Sarreguimines, France, daughter of Jules and Amelie Scherer. She was one of nine children, having five sisters and three brothers.

She was a Red Cross volunteer in WW II and after, when she met Kenneth Tritschler, formerly of St. Louis, Mo. and Du Quoin, Ill. They married Aug. 28, 1946 in Germany.

She raised four children, was an expert seamstress and knitter and had a business in Du Quoin doing so. She enjoyed the outdoors- camping, fishing, gardening and traveling.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth; two brothers, son, John and great granddaughter, Sidnee Cheyenne.

She is survived by her son, Jules, grandson Aaron and great grandson Austin, all of Tucson, Ariz.; son, Jerry and Mary Ruth (Bailey), grandson Jason, great grandson Tristin, great granddaughter Taylor, grandson Colin and Nikki (Bailey) great grandson Wyatt and great granddaughter Emilie grandson Dustin, great grandson Chase, all of Du Quoin, Ill and daughter, Lorraine of Marana, Ariz.

Visitation was held Wednesday, Sept. 7 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Richardsons Mortuary in Benson, Ariz. with TMC Hospice Chaplin Karla Brockie officiating.

Interment was at Ft. Huachuca Military Cemetery in Sierra Vista, Ariz. on Sept. 8.
