Hindman selected as assistant pharmacy specialty leader for U.S.?Navy
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[CDR Traci Hindman joined the Navy in June 1997 while completing her Doctor of Pharmacy at St. Louis College of Pharmacy. In 1999 upon graduating, she was commissioned as a Lieutenant and completed Officer Indoctrination School in Newport, Rhode Island. Her first duty station was Naval Medical San Diego from 1999-2002. While in San Diego, she completed an American Society of Health Systems Pharmacy Practice Residency and served as Pharmacy Informatics and Logistics Officer. Hindman was then stationed at Naval Hospital Lemoore from 2002-2004, where she was Head, Pharmacy Department and was named "Junior Officer of the Year, 2003". While at Lemoore , she achieved Board Certification as a Pharmacotherapy Specialist. Her next duty station was National Naval Medical Center where she served as the Operations Manager, Pharmacy Department from 2004-2006 and was awarded the "Navy Pharmacy Specialty Leader's Award, 2005". She was then selected to complete Duty Under Instruction at Robert H. Smith School of Business. She graduated in 2008 with a Masters Degree in Business Administration and then returned to Naval Medical Center San Diego. Most recently, she returned to Naval Medical Center San Diego and serves as Assistant Department Head for Pharmacy. This spring she deployed onboard USS Cleveland as Director for Administration in support of Pacific Partnership 2011 where she qualified as a Surface Warfare Medical Department Officer. In September 2011, she was selected as the Assistant Pharmacy Specialty Leader for the United States Navy.
Hindman's awards and decorations include the Navy Commendation Medal (3 awards), Navy Achievement Medal (2 awards), Meritorious Unit Commendation (3 awards), National Defense Service Medal, and Global War on Terrorism Service Medal.
Traci is the daughter of David and Linda Hindman of Collinsville and the niece of June Combs, Claudette James of Chester and Pat Grah of Rockwood and Delbert Dethrow of Sparta.
