Veterans Day: A Prayer for Our Servicemen

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[VFW Chaplain David Norton gave the opening prayer during the American Legion-sponsored Veterans Day ceremony in Keyes City Park.

His prayer: "Lord, almighty God, Father of all, you who have spared we veterans here and those over our country from our enemies...we thank you for the privilege of our way of live. It will be soon that we will leave this Veterans Day service. Help us to remember the past so to shape the future. Bless us as we endeavor to do your bidding. We have assembled as a tribute to those who have gone before us and those standing in our midst. Let us always remember those who gave their all--along with we the living for giving us freedom of speech, religion and the pursuit of happiness. It is for us the living to carry out Your will. Giving us courage and insight to stand up for our families and country, so we may live in peace and fellowship among us all."
