John P. Mannino

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[John P. Mannino, 71, of Centralia, passed away at 2:30 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 12, 2011 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.

He was born May 18, 1940 in Naucy, France, the son of Natale' and Raymonde Cunde Mannino. He married Sharon Hatch on June 3, 1972 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Centralia and she survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Kyle L. (Jaime) Mannino of Belleville and Wade A. (Cherie) Mannino of Centralia; a brother, Sam (Debbie) Mannino of Du Quoin and a sister, Natalie (Mark) Cook of Paducah,?Ky.; five grandchildren, Dylan, Brandon, Camryn, Layna and Chase Mannino; mother-in-law, Betty Hatfield of Centralia; brother-in-law, Steve (Laura) Hatch of Centralia and their children, Joe Hatch and Angela Litton.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Mr. Mannino was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War and was retired from the Army Reserve. He was the former Personnel Director at the Murray Center in Centralia and the current owner and operator of Stop and Go Mart,?Inc. in Marine and Patoka. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Centralia and a former member of the Centralia Optimist Club.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m on Thursday, Nov. 17 at Styninger Queen-Boggs Funeral Home in Centralia with Father Justin Olisaemeka officiating. Burial followed in Calvary Cemetery in Centralia with military rites accorded by the Centralia VFW and American Legion Posts.

Friends called from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday at the Funeral home.
