Jamey Garner signs Record Deal with Universal/Decca UK

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Jamey Garner, formerly of Chester, and his band, "Fly South" have officially inked a major deal with Universal/Decca UK. The multiple album deal is set to launch in Spring 2012 all over Europe and is in the final stages of mixing and mastering. In addition to Garner, the group includes Kevin Compos, Marc Copely, and Dillon Dixon.

"Fly South" began pre-production for their debut CD early in 2011 and have recorded parts for the album all over the World. The band's whirlwind began with writing and pre-production sessions at Prime Studios in an idyllic medieval village in the heart of the Austrian Alps, where the band members penned a hefty number of songs for their debut. They continued with tracking sessions at Mark Knopfler's world class studio in London, Avatar Studios in New York City and finally Fireside and Entourage Studios in Los Angeles. During the recording sessions, "Fly South" was visited in the studio by legends Mark Knopfler of Dire Straits and Don Felder of The Eagles.

Garner and his wife, Geralyn DelCorso Garner, currently reside in Dallas, TX. He is the son of Gwendy Garner of Chester and Terry Garner of West Frankfort. Garner's website is www.jameygarner.com.
