Jeff Profitt Packs Up at Fair Acres & Goes Home
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Longtime Du Quoin sports broadcaster and Du Quoin Evening Call sports editor Jeff Profitt packed up his laptop, television and a van load of personal belongings at the Fair Acres Nursing Home Friday and headed home.
It has been approximately 16 months since Jeff suffered a once-debilitating stroke in August 2010.
He has been outfitted with a brace on his right leg. He is strong and his voice is crystal clear.
At least one home health services organization --the Center for Independent Living--is outfitting the Profitt home with all of the necessary aids to maintain a high quality of life.
All of Jeff's caregivers believe being home will exponentially speed the healing process. Jeff and his father Robert Profitt extend their appreciation for the prayers, cards and contributions. This is a perfect New Year's present for all of us.
