"I couldnt wait another week so off to Florida we flew!" Upon our arrival at the airport in Florida, my sister Cher stood there holding a big sign 'Cindy's Big Sister', we both took off running, and gave each other the biggest hug ever. Finally I had to peel her off and said let me look at you. My neice Amanda was standing in the background crying.
When we got to the car, she hopped in back with me and told her daughter to drive because she wanted to sit with me.
Her house was still lit up for Christmas, even the palm trees were wrapped with lights. She gave us our rooms and said to make ourselves at home, which is just what we did, We all talked until late, and laughed and cried. We shared pictures and letters. We also laughed at all the silly things we do just the same, we are so much alike, its amazing!
She took us to the beach the next night for supper, where I met my other neice Amie, as she ran towards me with a bouquet of flowers, crying. The next day, we all went to the beach. My sister and I held hands and played in the sand like two little girls. We even wrote our names in the sand.
As we were enjoying the wonderful sunset and walking away, my husband looked at me and asked what was wrong?" I said "I dont know what to do?!" He asked why, I told him" I always imagined finding my sister, flying on a plane to florida, laughing with her and enjoying her, but I never dreamt this, I feel kinda lost, like I dont know what now." This folder of all these years of searching, that I have carried around, I dont need any more." He told me, I guess its just time to start a new chapter. So that's exactly what I did. I went to Walmart and bought a new photo album, marked it SISTER and started putting our photos in there.
