Maxine F. Pyle Geistdorfer
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Maxine F. Pyle Geistdorfer, 88, of Du Quoin, passed away at 5:41 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 12, 2012 at the Fairview Nursing Center in Du Quoin.
Maxine was a homemaker. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Du Quoin and Senior Citizens.
She was born Feb. 3, 1923 at Tamaroa, Ill., the daughter of John and Bessie (Downs) Ivester.
She married Wayne Pyle in 1942 at Du Quoin and he preceded her in death on Jan. 13, 1981. She then married Fred Geistdorfer on Nov. 14, 1992 at Du Quoin and he preceded her in death on March 22, 2008.
She is survived by two sons - Gary Pyle and wife Jean and Kevin Pyle and wife Janice, all of Du Quoin, one sister - Mildred Schneider of Du Quoin, one brother - Richard Ivester of Du Quoin, four grandchildren, two step granddaughters, eight great grandchildren, two step great grandsons and one great great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands and one grandson - Rodney Pyle.
Graveside services were at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2012 at the Sunset Memorial Park at Du Quoin with Rev. Joe Wagner officiating.
Those attending the service were asked to go directly to the cemetery.
Friends may make memorials to Hospice of Southern Illinois and will be accepted at the funeral home.
