Violet F. "Vi" Pautler, 91
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Violet F. "Vi" Pautler, age 91, of Effingham, passed away at her daughter's home in Effingham at 7:30 A.M. Sunday, January 15, 2012.
Funeral services were held at 10:00 A.M. n Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at St. Anthony of Padua Church in Effingham with the burial held in St. Boniface Cemetery in Evansville, Illinois.
Visitation was held from 4:00 P.M. till 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday at Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham. At 6:00 P.M. a parish prayer service was held at the funeral home.
Memorials may be given to St. Anthony Schools or A.R.C.
Violet was born on February 13, 1920 in Ellis Grove to the late Williiam and Laura (Schoeppel) Neuling. On August 16, 1940, she married Ross L. Pautler in St. Genevieve, Missouri. He preceded her in death in 1970.
Violet was employed at St. Anthony Grade School cafeteria for 24 years. She was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Church in Effingham and the St. anthony Council of Catholic Women. Vi enjoyed reading, dancing, travel, playing cards with her friends, Cardinal baseball and her grandchildren.
She is survived by her three daughters: Cheryl (Carl) Gross of Evansville, Illinois; Joyce (Duane) Shadwell of Effingham; and Denise (Paul) Willenborg of Effingham. She is also survived by seven grandchildren: Shari Kinkelaar (friend Joe Groves); Jason (Aimee) Kimkelaar; Travis Shadwell; Rachel (John) Ricketts; Erica Cooper; Jeff Willenborg; and Erin (Jeff) McDevitt. Also surviving is a great granddaughter, Megan Ricketts.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; an infant son, Jan; 2 grandsons, Bryan and Jeffrey; 3 brothers; and 1 sister.
