Myrtle May Endres
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Myrtle May Endres (nee Wafford), age 93, of Lockport, died peacefully Saturday, Jan. 21, 2012 at her residence, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Burlington, Ky, and lived in the Lockport area for over 48 years. She was a member of St. Andrew Catholic Church, Romeoville, and former member of St. Andrew's CCW.
She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph A. (a WW II Veteran and retired CECO Steel employee); a daughter, Glendora Lara; a son, David G. Endres; granddaughters, Penny Raj and Thresa Lara; a grandson, Anthony J. Attardo III; her parents, Edgar and Pearl (Cossins) Wafford; brothers, Carlos and Wilbur and a sister, Hazel Schneider.
She is survived by her children, Sandra (Michael) Prince, Vickie (Anthony Jr.) Attardo, Anne (David) Santos, Martin Endres; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to Joliet Area Hospice, Guardian Angel Home, Crest Hill or Gift of Hope would be appreciated.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Jan. 24 at 9:15 a.m. from the O'Neil Funeral Home Chapel, 1105 E. 9th St., Lockport, to St. Andrew Catholic Church, Romeoville for Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment was held in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Du Quoin, Ill. Visitation was Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.
