Julia Ann Swiney
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Julia Ann Swiney, 37, of Du Quoin, passed away at 1:15 a.m., Sunday, Feb. 5, 2012 at the Marshall Browning Hospital in Du Quoin.
Julia was a homemaker and worked as a secretary at Gearhartt and Associates in Carbondale. She was a member of the Elkville Christian Church and was very active in the American Cancer Society Relay For Life. Julia was a loving wife and mother.
She was born Feb. 6, 1974 at Pinckneyville, Ill. the daughter of Leonard and Judy (Perkey) Rybacki.
Julia married Richard E. Swiney Jr. on March 23, 1996 at the Bethel Lutheran Church in Du Quoin and he survives.
She is survived by her husband of Du Quoin, four children- Tyler Swiney, Landen Swiney, Hayden Swiney and Hannah Swiney, all of Du Quoin, mother and father- Leonard and Judy Rybacki of Du Quoin, two brothers- Ronald Charles Rybacki and friend Kim Suits of Marion, Kevin Lee Rybacki of Du Quoin, sister- Amy Lynn Rybacki of Du Quoin, father and mother-in-law- Richard and Debbie Swiney of Du Quoin, sister-in-law- Lori Ichou and husband Mounir of Du Quoin, niece- Adison Ichou of Du Quoin, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents- Albert and Mabel Perkey of Du Quoin and Leo and Stella Rybacki of Du Bois.
Funeral services were at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 9, 2012 at the Elkville Christian Church in Elkville with Bro. Gary Pruitt officiating.
Friends called from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin and from 9 a.m. until time of service at the church on Thursday.
Burial was in the IOOF Cemetery at Du Quoin.
Memorials maybe made to the American Cancer Society and will be accepted at the funeral home.
