Bald Knob Cross May Get New LED Lighting

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[The Bald Knob Cross board of directors met Tuesday night and will consider a plan to install new, state-of-the-art LED lighting to illuminate the cross.

Work has largely been completed on restoring Southern Illinois' the Cross of Peace, a testament to Southern Illinois' faith.

Fundraising has begun for the lighting with a benefit dinner this Friday, February 17 from 4-7 p.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Cobden. Donations are $10 for adults and $5 for children. For more information, call Carol Nebughr at (618) 893-4065.
