Edna K. Hill

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Edna K. Hill, age 93, of Pinckneyville, Ill., passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2012 in Fairview Nursing Center, Du Quoin, Ill.

Edna was born on June 21, 1918 in Harrisburg, Ill., a daughter to Elmer E. and Nellie May (Hiller) Myers. She married Loren Hill in Pinckneyville, Ill. and he preceded her in death on June 20, 1986. She had worked as a seamstress at the Garment Factory, Pinckneyville, Ill., and later in insurance billing at Pinckneyville Community Hospital, as well as being a homemaker. Edna was very dedicated to her Bible and was a member of New Hope Community Church, Pinckneyville, Ill., where she also served as a Sunday school teacher. She always loved helping others but her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her son, Paul (Joy) Hill of Pinckneyville, Ill.; three daughters, Ruth Ann (Norman) Allen of Salome, Ariz., Marilyn Sue (Dan) Kelly of Whitewater, Colo. and Linda Lu (Tony) Minnick of Cheyenne, Wyo. and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband and three sons, Maurice L. Hill, Melvin Hill and Donald R. Hill.

Funeral services were held at New Hope Community Church, Pinckneyville, Ill. on Monday, Feb. 20, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. with Brother James Clardy officiating. Interment was in I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Pinckneyville, Ill.

Friends called at New Hope Community Church, Pinckneyville, Ill. on Sunday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Monday from 8:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
