Ellis Grove Board holds meeting
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[The Ellis Grove board meeting was held March 5.
Charles Hanton was appointed to the Board to complete the unexpired term of Trustee Dallas Thompson.
Cutbacks
Money matters were discussed. The Board approved a cutback on hours worked by the Police Dept. and that the Fire Department assume responsibility for the payment of their gas and electric and other incidental bills
Police Car Grant
Applying for a grant for a new police car was discussed at the February 6 meeting. Further review of the general fund revealed that the village does not have the funds to meet the local match. The board voted not to continue with the application for a $20,000 federal grant for a police car.
Cemetery
Approved the purchase of a John Deere tractor/mower & a dump cart for the cemetery for a total for $4161.00.
Easter: April 7, 2012
The Board will sponsor an Easter Egg Hunt on April 7 on the Village Hall grounds.
Resale Shop
CeCe Dagner - attended the meeting to meet the board & advise that she will be opening a Resale shop in the former restaurant building located along Route 3.
Barking Dogs
Complaint have been received regarding dogs who bark continuously and trash cans not properly closed thereby allowing trash to blow around and into other residents yards. Abate motices will be sent.
