James David Stowers
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[James David Stowers, 57, of Du Quoin, passed away at 4:16 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 26, 2012 at the Marshall Browning Hospital in Du Quoin.
James had been an over-the-road truck driver and a welder for Joe Vancil. He was a member of the Du Quoin Eagles 779 and the V.F.W. Men's Auxiliary.
He was born Sept. 24, 1954 at Du Quoin, Ill., the son of Raymond and Louise (Jones) Stowers.
He is survived by his wife - Yvonne (Larque) Stowers of Bloomingdale, Ill, one son - Jason Allen Stowers of Chicago, Ill., two brothers - Wayne Stowers and wife JoAnn of Du Quoin and Arthur Stowers and wife Renate of Sparta, three grandchildren and close friends - Gabel Lively and Jimmy Hill, both of Du Quoin.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Per Mr. Stowers' request, cremation services were held.
Graveside services were at 10:00 a.m., Friday, March 2, 2012 at the Sunset Memorial Park in Du Quoin.
Those attending the service were asked to go directly to the cemetery.
Burial was in the Sunset Memorial Park at Du Quoin.
