Sheriff's Attorney Files Motion to Continue Case
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Monday's scheduled trial for Perry County Sheriff Keith Kellerman stemming from an alleged incident in December is expected to be continued until May or June.
The trial was to have begun at 9:15 a.m. March 26 in Courtroom 109 in the St. Clair County Courthouse.
However, a motion to continue the case has been placed on file.
Kellerman was charged Dec. 16 with the petty misdemeanor of public indecency from an incident involving intimate contact with another man in a parked car in Caseyville. The other man is 31-year-old Ian Stennett of Collinsville.
The 48-year-old Kellerman pled not guilty to the charge in January and attorney Tom Mansfield asked for a trial by Jury.
Kellerman has been with the Perry County Sheriff's Department since 1992 and has been sheriff since 1998.
