DuQuoin played Breese Mater Dei in the first game of the day beating them 9-3. DuQuoin scored two runs in the second to take the lead, four more in the fourth, three in the sixth to seal the win. Breese scored their three runs in the third inning.

DuQuoin took on Greenville in the second game. The game only went five innings as DuQuoin won 14-0. DuQuoin scored in all five innings--four, two, one, one, and six. They also pounded out 16 hits in the game.

Hirsch was 2-5. Davis was 2-2 with an RBI. Kelsey Robinson was 2-4 with a double and a home run and 5 RBI. Rice was 2-3 with an RBI. Hadley Marek was 2-3 with an RBI. Edwards was 2-3 with an RBI. Coach Jason James was pleased with the Indians' performance. "Kohrs and Rice just pitched outstanding today! They really seem to feed off each other. In the first game, Cassidy Rice hit a big 2-run homer in the sixth to break the game open. The only disappointment in the game was the third inning, where we committed four errors that led to 3 unearned runs. We have to continue to work defensively if we want to reach our goals, and that is something that I know the kids will commit to."

"In game 2, Robinson hit a long 3-run home run in the first to get our offense off and running. We had several kids really step up today at the plate, and have big days. We are going to continue to work to become an all-around good team. Big week next week with the start of conference play." The Assistant Coaches are Jacob Emling and Lonnie James.

On Monday, DuQuoin travels to Anna-Jonesboro. Tuesday is a home game with Sparta. Wednesday is another home game with Johnston City. Thursday is a home game with Carterville. The JV will play in a Tournament in DuQuoin on Saturday with Elverado, Pinckneyville, and Mt. Vernon. Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday are conference games for the Indians.
