Sen. Dick Durbin to Dedicate Du Quoin Solar Park Tuesday

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[United States Sen. Dick Durbin (D-Illinois) will be in Du Quoin at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 10 to dedicate Du Quoin's new 100KV solar park located immediately south of the Heartland Baking Co. property.

Construction of the cutting edge electrical facility was made possible through federal energy stimulus monies.

Recent acquisition of an additional $63,000 allowed Du Quoin to grow the park from an original 75KV design to a full 100 KV solar park. Power can be channeled into industrial buildings in the park or onto the electric grid.

Following what is expected to be a half-hour dedication at the Du Quoin Industrial Park, members of the Du Quoin Chamber of Commerce will host a reception for the U.S. Senator at Alongi's restaurant in downtown Du Quoin.
