Lady Warriors drop 8-6 decision to Cobden
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[The Steeleville Lady Warriors came up s little short in their loss to the Cobden Lady Appleknockers 8-6. The Lady Warriors are 1-3 on the season.
Steeleville scored two runs in the first inning to take a 2-1 lead. After Cobden jumped out to a 6-1 advantage, the Lady Warriors scored two runs in the bottom of the third on a home run by Alex Gale. The Lady Warriors tied the game with a two run fifth on a base hit by Allanah Renner. Cobden however scored single runs in their last two innings to win the contest.
Mackenzie Doeding was the losing pitcher. Steeleville had eight hits on the day. Renner was 2-3 while Gale was 1-2 with a 2-run homer, Shelly Farris 1-3, Dakota Ernsting 1-4, Doeding 1-4, Brooke Cates 1-4 and Elise Quivey1-3.
