Chester Boys and Girls Run In Ste. Genevieve Old Settlement Invitational

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[ The Chester Boys and Girls track squads participated in the Ste. Genevieve Old Settlement Invitational with fifteen teams competing .

The results for the girls meet were available and the Lady Jackets finished fifth overall. Chester had only 13 girls competing in the meet, due to injuries. The Girls Result were 1. Notre Dame Cape 129; 2. Valley Catholic 95; 3. Ste. Gen 93; 4. Dexter 83; 5. Chester 58; 6. Central Park Hills 55; 7.Chaffee44; 8. Arcadia 29; 9, Crystal City 24; 10. Jefferson R-VII 23; 10. Saxony Lutheran 23; 12. St. Vincent 15; 13 Grandview 13; 14. St. Pius Festus 11;15. Fredericktown 7

The Chester girls that placed in the top 8 placed in the meet. Top 4 received medals. Here are the CHS results; 300 Hurdles Sarah Bindel 2nd (51.4); 100 Hurdles Sarah Bindel 2nd (17.46); Long Jump McKenzi Rucker 2nd (14-11.5); 300 Hurdles Rachel Clendenin 3rd (53.14); 100 Hurdles Rachel Clendenin 4th (18.20); Triple Jump Maribeth Lawerence 4th (29&#39;2); 4x200 Relay 4th (1:55) Sarah Bindel, Maribeth Lawerence, Rachel Clendenin, McKenzi Rucker; 4x100 Relay 5th {55.25) Chelsea Schroeder, DeNa Nesbit, Jenna Wingerter, Holly Hartman; 4x400 Relay 5th (4:33) Sarah Bindel, Rachel Clendenin, Mikayla Atchison, Maribeth Lawerence; 400 Dash Maribeth Lawerence 7th (1:05); Triple jump Jenna Wingerter 7th (28&#39;1).

Coach Jennifer Stumpe had this to say about the girls performances,"We had some good performances. It was very cold and windy by the end of the night. I am very pleased with how the girls performed".

The boys meet results were not available.

The Jackets that placed in the top 8 in the meet with the top 4 receiving medals;Kyle Landon set a new meet record by winning the high jump with a leap of 6" 11". Landon also won the long jump (21&#39; 1") and finished second in the triple jump (41&#39; 2"). Andrew Frazer finished second in the 100 (:12.16), finished fifth in the long jump (18&#39; 1") and finished fourth in the 200 (:24.10). Verne White won the 400 (:52.93), finished third in the high jump (5&#39; 8") and finished third in the 200 (:24.02). Devin Valleroy finished fifth in the 1600 (4:54.66) and finished sixth in the 3200 (10:47.71). Brad Bindel finished third in the discus (126&#39; 8"). Zach Sternberg finished fifth in the pole vault (9&#39; 6"). Issiac Wingerter finished seventh in the 300 hurdles (:46.88). In the relays, Chester finished third in the 1600 (Kyle Landon, Link Cushman, Verne White, Issiac Wingerter) with a time of 3:44.46 and fourth in the 3200 (Devin Valleroy, Zach Sternebrg, Brian Hartman, William Stafford) with a time of 9:08.72, seventh in the 400 (Lane Gibbs, Zach Murdach, Nick Rinehart, Robin Bochert) with a time of :49.4, seventh in the 800 (Link Cushman, Andrew Frazer, Nick Rinehart, Issiac Wingerter) with a time of 1:41.32, ???
