Lady Yellow Jackets defeat Cahokia 14-0
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Chester improved their record to 2-8 with a five-inning 14-0 drubbing of Cahokia. The non- conference contest was played at the Cohen Complex.
The Lady Yellow Jackets scored seven runs in the first inning. With the help of walks, wild pitches, pass balls and errors the Lady Jackets scored four runs before Averi Mueller collect the first hit of the day. Taylor Gross had a RBI single and pitcher Jocelynn Fortman followed up with a two RBI single.
Chester's Lauren Hoops led off the second inning with a walk, a hit by pitch and a Gross base hit loaded up the bases. Sydney Haberberger was walked to force in a run. Natasha Pulliam and Brea Braun had RBI singles to run the score to 10-0.
The Lady Jackets added four runs in the fourth inning with a Hoops RBI single and Marah Laramore sacrifice fly doing the damage.
Jocelynn Fortman was the winning pitcher as she tossed a one-hitter striking out eight Lady Comanches. Gross and Haberberger collected two hits apiece while Braun, Hoops, Mueller, Fortman and Pulliam had a hit each.
