Tornadoes Win 9-1 Over Yellow Jackets

The Chester Yellow Jackets were defeated by Zeigler-Royalton Tornadoes 9-1 in Black Diamond Conference play. Chester falls to 7-3 overall and 1-1 in the BDC.

The Yellow Jackets scored in the top of the fourth as Casey Venable lead-off with single and stole second and third base. Greg Rowold had a RBI single to score Venable with the Jackets only run of the game.

Zeigler Royalton scored two runs in the bottom of the fourth to take the lead, then added four runs in the fifth to take 6-1 advantage. Z-R finished off the day scoring three runs in the sixth.

Caleb Arbeiter was the losing pitcher for the Yellow Jackets. Casey Venable finished 2-for-3 on the day while Arbeiter and Rowold were each 1-for-3.
