Dowell Woman's Car Hit Head-on on Rt. 51

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[A 28-year-old Tamaroa man has been charged with DUI, leaving the scene of a personal injury accident and improper lane usage after he struck a car driven by a 19-year-old Dowell woman shortly after 10 p.m. Saturday, April 14.

Illinois State Police at the District 13 command in Du Quoin say Joshua Foist was northbound on Rt. 51 in Dowell when his pickup truck crossed the center line and struck a car driven by Jordyn Reel. Reel received minor injuries and was taken to Marshall Browning Hospital for minor injuries. A 20-year-old passenger in her car, Chantel Williams, 20, from Du Quoin, was apparently not injured.

Both vehicles received major damage.
