CHS Trapshooting team brought home two trophies and 9 medals

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Despite the threat of storms, and a rainy start, the CHS Trapshooting team brought home two trophies and 9 medals from the match held last Saturday.

After waiting for the thunder to subside, the Junior Varsity team consisting of Bradley Surman, Trevor Dillman, and Dylan Kaspar, all freshman, won a 4th place trophy despite missing two additional shooters.

Red Bud took top honors for Varsity. Pinckneyville "A" squad took second. Chester came in third with a score of 396 and Steeleville 4th place. The CHS Varsity squad consisted of Hunter Cushman, Joel Clendenin, Sydney Haberberger, Chase McCarty, and Justin Bert.

Top shooter for the day was a Pinckneyville youth with a score of 95 out of 100. CHS Sophomore, Hunter Cushman, shot 94 for the day. He brought home a first place medal in the Class B category.
