SOFTBALL: Lady Falcons rout Meridian behind Wilson's no-no

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Corrine Wilson had a perfect game going until her E-1 in the top of the fifth inning, eventually finishing off Meridian with a no-hitter in Elverado&#39;s 18-0 no-doubter over the Lady Bobcats in Vergennes.

The Lady Falcons had a dozen hits and six different Elverado hitters drove in at least two runs in the victory.

"We hit the ball hard, and I hope we use this to build our confidence with the bats," said EHS head softball coach Donette Wheatley. "We have to have a good hard practice before Wednesday."

Wilson cruised in the pitching circle striking out nine Lady Bobcats, including seven out of eight between the second and fourth innings.

There were plenty of offensive stars for EHS on Monday with Erika Will&#39;s three-hit game leading the way. Will had a triple, three runs scored and a pair of RBI. Wilson (2-3, 3B, BB, 3 R, 2 RBI), Paige Newfarmer (2-3, HR, BB, 3 R, 3 RBI) and Kaitlin Lively (2-4, 2B, 3B, 2 RBI) also had multi-hit efforts.

The Lady Falcons (11-10, 2-5) host Waltonville on Wednesday and Eldorado on Thursday.
