Coach Jason James was very happy with his team's performance. "Rice and Kohrs pitched outstanding. They only allowed one runner to reach second base, and that was the first batter of the first game. We only gave up 7 hits all weekend, and they were all singles. We played awesome defense behind them. We did not commit an error all weekend."

"We were patient at the plate, and came up with some big at bats. Robinson hit her 5th home run of the season, while driving in 6 runs with some productive at bats. We are very proud of our girls, and how they show up ready to go every day."

"Thirty wins is just outstanding, and we are not sure how many teams have ever reached that total in DuQuoin (boys or girls). We still have several goals that we want to accomplish, and we will give it our all to reach those goals!"

DuQuoin is scheduled for a JV game with Murphysboro on Monday at home. Tuesday is a home game for the Varsity with Carlyle. Saturday will have DuQuoin at Harrisburg playing Harrisburg at 11:00 and Cobden at 12:30. The Regional will start the week of the 14th at Herrin. DuQuoin is seeded No. 1 in the Regional.
