Vernon Lamoin Bagley
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Vernon Lamoin "Joe" Bagley, 75, of Du Quoin, passed away at 3:57 p.m., Thursday, April 26, 2012 at the Fairview Nursing Center in Du Quoin.
Joe had been a tour bus driver for Gulf Transport, Zweigart Bus Service, and many others. He had also been a long haul truck driver. For over 30 years, he had served as a fireman for the Dowell Fire Department. He had served as a Private First Class in the United States Marines during the Korean War.
He was born July 1, 1936 at Ava, Ill., the son of William Rufus and Anna (Lee) Bagley.
He married Joanna (King) Ramsey on June 20, 1964 at DeSoto, Ill. and she survives.
He is survived by his wife of Du Quoin, one daughter - Stephanie Huff and significant other Allen Wilson of Johnston City, Ill., two sons - Steve Bagley and wife Donna of Tamaroa and Bill Bagley and wife Sue of Elkville, two step daughters - Brenda Philpott and husband Tony of Pinckneyville and Vicki Lewis of Sparta, one step son - Richard Ramsey and wife Marilyn of Elkville, one sister - Bessie Graff of Murphysboro, 18 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters and one brother.
Per Mr. Bagley's request, cremation services were held.
Memorial services were held at 7:00 p.m., Monday, April 30, 2012 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin with Marty Bruno officiating.
Friends called from 5 to 7 p.m., Monday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.
Friends may make memorials to the Du Quoin Dialysis Center or Fairview Nursing Center and will be accepted at the funeral home.
