Chester school board meet
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[The Board of Education of Chester Community Unit School District No. 139 met in the Chester School District Unit Office on May 17, 2012. President Beers called the Regular meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
Mr. Lochhead introduced Kyle Thompson, Dean of Students, at the Grade School.
The Board approved the regular meeting minutes of April 19, 2012.
The Board approved the executive session minutes of April 19, 2012.
Rich Clasen updated the Board on the Technology Department.
Scott Bert updated the Board on the Maintenance Department.
Mike Coffey updated the Board on the Athletic Department.
Casey Peters and Rachel Weir presented the Board information on how they use the IPAD's for the Speech students.
Mr. Lochhead, Grade School Principal, reported to the Board of Education:
April 24th was DARE Graduation.
April 28th was Read, Right, Run.
May 5th was State Solo & Ensemble Contest.
Mr. Keefe, High School Principal, reported to the Board of Education:
Handbook - 2012/2013.
Teacher Appreciation Week.
Drug Free Youth Dance.
Mr. Diddlebock, District Superintendent, reported to the Board of Education:

The Board approved the district bills in the amount of $511,835.16 and district payroll in the amount of $420,960.38 as presented.
The Board approved Dwight Lochhead as High School Trap Shooting Volunteer Coach.
The Board approved Kristin Courier as High School Dance & Drill Volunteer Coach.
The Board set May 29 at 7:00 p.m. for the Budget Amendment Meeting.
The Board approved Dalton Misuraca as Summer Custodial Help at $8.40 per hour.
The Board approved Jeffrey Beers as Summer Custodial Help at $8.40 per hour.
The Board approved Chris Yankey at her regular hourly rate for Summer Technology Help.
The Board approved the posting of the Reading Specialist for 2012-2013 school year.
The Board discussed the first and last day of school being full days.
