‘Small Town, Big Deal' on RFD-TV to Film Red Power Roundup in Du Quoin July 19-21
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Rodney Miller, a Benton, Ill. native, who has become a success story as CEO of McCormick International and Montana Tractors has since authored the RFD-TV's television series "Small Town, Big Deal" and will be in Du Quoin the end of July to film the Red Power Roundup for a television feature.
You could say enthusiasm for cultivating the land has been in his blood from the start. Rodney also has a particular passion for small town life, and out of this was born his idea to shine the spotlight on the great stories from the farming communities and rural towns of America.
After five years of Rodney's planning and work, that idea has resulted in the new show "Small Town Big Deal," which premiers on RFD-TV September 5, 2012. Rodney plans to criss-cross the countryside, meeting new folks and enjoying their unique stories.
Tibretta Reiman of the Foundation for Pinckneyville who describes herself as "the original farm girl" will work alongside Miller at the Du Quoin show.
The Red Power Roundup comes to the Du Quoin State Fair July 19 through 21 with between 20,000 and 30,000 visitors celebrating everything International Harvester.
Hundreds of vintage and cotemporary pieces of IH farm machinery will be on the grounds for the international event.
RFD-TV is a very popular rural America television network.
Rodney has served as CEO of McCormick International and Montana Tractors, and he was instrumental in establishing US operations for Valtra Tractors, and territory management for Long and Mahindra Tractors.
Additionally he has served on several boards including Georgia FFA Sponsor Board, the Georgia Agribusiness Council, the Illinois Rural Heritage Museum and the Georgia Agritourism Association.
A career in the farm machinery industry plus his volunteerism in FFA and 4H have resulted in Rodney's traveling the rural areas of 49 of our 50 states. Alaska, here he comes!
