Jason Springs honored at Memorial Hospital

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Jason Springs has been named the most recent Employee of the Quarter at Memorial Hospital in Chester. A laboratory technologist, Springs began his employment at Memorial in January 2003.

A reception in Springs' honor was held Friday afternoon, July 6 in the hospital dining room. In his presentation of the award, Hospital Administrator Steve Hayes read from a variety of nominations from Springs' peers, stating, "Jason is always courteous and respectful of his patients. He will help anybody, is easy to work with and never complains. He is very conscientious and works well with E.R. physicians. He is a kind and caring person. He is never late for work and "digs in" as soon as he arrives."

In addition to a cash gift and a personal plaque, Springs will receive the parking space of his choice for the next three months. His name has been added to a larger plaque in the hospital's front lobby.

Jason Springs is a resident of Coulterville. He enjoys collecting coins and currency, target shooting outdoors and at indoor ranges. He also enjoys visiting museums, going to casinos and spending time with his family. He considers his nephews, John and Joshua a "real joy". Springs is a member of the Coulterville United Methodist Church, the National Rifle Association and Chester Lodge #72, AF and AM. He is a Past Master of Hope Lodge #162 AF & AM. Springs is a graduate of Southwestern Illinois College with an Associate's Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology.
