Pinckneyville Reaches $80,000 Settlement with City's Former Police Chief Paul Day

The Pinckneyville City Council voted Monday evening to pay half the costs to settle a wrongful termination lawsuit filed by former Police Chief Paul Day. The Illinois Municipal League Risk Management Association agreed to pay the other half of the $80,000 settlement.

City Attorney Roger Seibert said it is important to note that the lawsuit is being settled without admission of liability by the city.
