Full Scale Countywide Disaster Drill Friday, Oct. 5
On Friday, Oct. 5, various Perry County public safety agencies, Pinckneyville Community Hospital and Marshall Browning Hospital will be conducting a full-scale disaster exercise.
The exercise will take place in the City of Pinckneyville and at Marshall Browning Hospital in Du Quoin and will begin between 8:30 a.m. and 9 a.m. The exercise should conclude at approximately 12 noon.
During the exercise the public should expect to see emergency vehicles and personnel working in the exercise areas as well as mock disaster victims.
In addition to both hospitals, public safety agencies participating in the exercise include the Perry County SheriffÃs Office, Perry County Emergency Management Agency, Pinckneyville Police Department, Pinckneyville Fire Department, Pinckneyville Ambulance Service, Du Quoin Emergency Services and Disaster Agency and Illinois Emergency Management Agency.
