Frieda E. Longshore

Frieda E. Longshore, 65, of Du Quoin, passed away at 5:39 a.m., Friday, Oct. 19, 2012 at her residence.

Frieda had worked for 13 years at the Perry County Health Department as a home health aid. She had also worked at TUMS as a CD Assembler for 14 years and was a homemaker.

She was a member of the First United Pentecostal Church in Du Quoin and a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary.

She was born Dec. 3, 1946 at Du Quoin, Ill. the daughter of Charles Theodore and Mary Lucille (Gilliam) Tilley.

She married Lawrence A. Longshore on Dec. 8, 1962 at Du Quoin, Ill.

She is survived by two daughters- Tammy Rock of Joplin, Mo. and Cindy Otto of Du Quoin, son- Lawrence A. (Corkey) Longshore Jr. of Du Quoin, brother- Bobby Tilley of Du Quoin, sister- Debra Zorn of Du Quoin, seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one sister.

At Frieda's request cremation services where held.

A Memorial Service will be at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 25, 2012 at the First United Pentecostal Church in Du Quoin with Rev. Dan McKinnies and Rev. C.L. McKinnies officiating.

Friends may make memorials to the First United Pentecostal Church and will be accepted at the church or the funeral home.
