Norma L. Brocaille
Norma L. Brocaille, 85, of Tamaroa, passed away at 5:05 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 25, 2012 at the Fairview Nursing Center in Du Quoin.
Norma was a homemaker and had worked at Fairview Nursing Center in Du Quoin as a C.N.A. for two years. She was a member of the Friendship Church of Christ in Tamaroa. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the V.F.W. Auxiliary.
She was born Nov. 9, 1926 at Mason City, Ill., the daughter of George T. and Rachael (Plumlee) Branum.
She married James V. Brocaille on Aug. 28, 1943 at Morganfield, Ky. and he preceded her in death on July 1, 1991.
She is survived by one daughter - Sandra Ward and husband Ron of Vergennes, two sons - James A. Brocaille and wife Donna and Jeff Brocaille and wife Karen, all of Tamaroa, one sister - Peggy Mattingly of Herrin, nine grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sons - David Brocaille and Jerry Brocaille, three brothers, two sisters and one grandson.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 27, 2012 at the Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa with Bro. Randy Allison officiating.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m., Friday at the Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa.
Burial will be in the Tamaroa City Cemetery at Tamaroa.
Friends may make memorials to VNA Tip Hospice and will be accepted at the funeral home.
