Crack Cocaine and Hand Gun Found during Arrest of Du Quoin Suspect Theodore Jones

A Du Quoin man has been arrested for delivery of crack cocaine during an ongoing series of investigations that netted a supply of crack cocaine and a hand gun at his residence.

Assistant Du Quoin Chief of Police Jamie Ellermeyer said on Oct. 25 at 8 a.m. Theodore Jones, 47, of Du Quoin was arrested at his residence located at 419 1/2 North Linden Street in Du Quoin on a Perry County warrant for three counts of unlawful delivery of a controlled substance (crack cocaine).

All three charges are class II felonies. At the same time, the Perry County Drug Task Force, Du Quoin police, the Perry County Sheriff's Department and Pinckneyville police executed a search warrant at the residence.

Assistant Chief Ellermeyer said that additional suspected crack cocaine and a hand gun were among items recovered from the residence subsequent to the search.
