Playoffs Have Their Rewards

The Illinois High School Association has a formula for sharing the income of hosting a playoff game. District 300 is guaranteed $965 from Saturday's game, plus 15 percent of the income of the gate. The IHSA keeps 85 percent to pay officials, etc. The town also sees a benefit in hosting a playoff game in terms of money spent in restaurants and gas marts on Saturday.
