Floyd E. Wright

Floyd E. Wright, 73, of Centralia, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 8, 2012 at his home in Centralia surrounded by family and friends.

Floyd was born on March 5, 1939 in Pinckneyville a son of Floyd J. and Thyra M. (Geiser) Wright. He married Carol M. Justin on Aug. 8, 1990 in Pinckneyville and she survives in Centralia.

In addition to his wife he is survived by his mother Thyra; four sons, Joseph Wright, Jeff Wright and wife Tammy, Rock Wright and wife Marie, Jerry Wright; four daughters, Shanda Morgan Jolly, Kelly Wright, Carol Lackey Stewart, Jennifer Lackey Bailey; three step-daughters, Rebecca Lackey, Dianna McClelland and Tressa Walden; two sons-in-law, David McClelland and Carl Meredith; 29 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Jim Wright and wife Claire, Gerald Wright and wife Carolyn; a special nephew, Carl Justin; special friends, Jason Tate, Dave and Angie Cluck and Becky Hill; best friend, and "brother" Red Berry and many other nieces and nephews.

The family wants to give a special thanks to Jennifer "foof," Samantha "nursey" McClelland, Dianna "tootie," Carol "AH" Jean, Jason Tate, Dave and Angie Cluck, Bubba Dave, VNA Hospice, Red Berry and Pastor Bruce Sasse and wife Cheri.

He was preceded in death by his father, Floyd J. Wright and his mother and father in law, Russell and Florence Justin.

Mr. Wright was a truck driver for over 40 years and enjoyed his time traveling the country. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was especially proud of his grandsons Pvt. Joshua M. Lackey and Pvt. Rock A. Wright for their service to our country and his special grandson and riding buddy "Little Jude."

Per Mr. Wright's wishes, no visitation will be held and a private family memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorials can be made to VNA TIP Hospice and can be sent to the funeral home. Online condolences can be left at www.sutherlandfunerahome.com.
