Helen L. Flure

Helen L. Flure, age 90, of Pinckneyville, Ill., passed away on Sunday, Nov. 11, 2012 at 11:20 p.m. in Fairview Nursing Center, Du Quoin, Ill.

Helen was born on Oct. 19, 1922 in Pinckneyville, Ill., a daughter to Adam and Margaret (Pabst) Lambert. On July 27, 1946, she married John W. Flure in St. Louis, Mo. and he preceded her in death on Oct. 3, 2004. Helen was a member of St. Bruno Catholic Church, Pinckneyville, Ill., worked in the produce department of Gann and Bender's Store, Pinckneyville, Ill. and was a home maker. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, country music and was involved with the volunteer program at Manor of Mason Woods, Pinckneyville, Ill.

Survivors include three daughters, Sharon (John) Willson of Dayton, Wyo., Marilyn (Steve) Epplin of Pinckneyville, Ill. and Carolyn Flure of La Marque, Tex.; two brothers, Clyde Lambert of Pinckneyville, Ill. and Kenneth (Marcella) Lambert of Pinckneyville, Ill.; two sisters, Florence Bender of Crestwood, Mo. and Mildred (Robert) Nuckles of Independence, Mo.; five grandchildren, Kelly Bender, Brent Epplin, Kim (Mike Lowenborg) Willson, Heath (Megan) Willson and Adam Willson; two great-grandchildren, Casey Lowenborg and Keagan Willson and several dear nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three brothers, Ervin, Wilfred and Harold and two sisters, Inez Matson and Irene Patterson.

Funeral services will be held at St. Bruno Catholic Church, Pinckneyville, Ill. on Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Cemetery, Todds Mill, Ill.

Friends may call at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, Ill. on Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday at the funeral home from 8:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Cemetery or Fairview Nursing Center Activity Fund.
