Health Department Hires New Administrator from within

Perry County Health Department board chairman Brice Harsy and board member Linda Quillman Tuesday afternoon announced the appointment of Barbara Taylor as new administrator.

She fills the vacancy created by the resignation of Jodi Schoen, who took a multi-county wellness position recently in Carlyle.

Taylor brings five years of service in the health department to the position. Her work has been with the WIC (women, infant & children's) program, family case management, family planning, paternity, immunizations, breastfeeding counseling, communicable diseases, and the car seat and wellness programs. She promises open communication with the nearly 20 employees of the department.
