Assistant Regional Superintendent Appointed

Another change at the Regional Office is the appointment of Mary Ann Quivey as Assistant Regional Superintendent of Schools. Mary Ann joins Kelton Davis at the helm of the ROE and looks forward to working with him to continue providing the region with the best educational services possible.

She has almost 20 years of teaching experience at the high school, college and adult education levels; holds elementary, secondary and administrative certificates and has a Bachelors of Science from Eastern Illinois University and a Master's in Teaching and Leadership from the University of Illinois. While employed at the ROE since 2003, Mary Ann has been a curriculum, professional development and technology coordinator; has administered various grants such as the Illinois Math Science Partnership and worked with school improvement planning.

In addition to these areas Mary Ann will become more involved in other programs, such as GED administration, school safety and school compliance. Mary Ann will have her main office at Waterloo but will still be involved in workshops and Area V meetings.

Then when she's not at work , she'll be gardening, reading or spending time with her husband Jeff, college -aged son Weston or high school senior daughter Elise.
