Hilda C. Wojtowicz

Hilda C. Wojtowicz, 86, of Du Bois, passed away at 12:30 a.m., Monday, Jan. 14, 2013 at the Friendship Manor Healthcare Center at Nashville, Ill.

Hilda was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church in Du Bois. She was also a member of Catholic Daughters and St. Theresa Altar Society.

She was born May 24, 1926 at Du Bois, Ill., the daughter of William E. and Sophie L. (Kreger) Heck.

She married Vincent P. Wojtowicz on Sept. 10, 1946 at Du Bois, Ill., and he survives.

She is survived by her husband of Du Bois, five children - James Wojtowicz of Du Bois, Michael Wojtowicz of St. Peters, Mo., Connie Krone of Du Quoin, Larry Wojtowicz of St. Petersburg, Ind., and David Wojtowicz of Nashville, three sisters - Helen Kurtz of Du Bois, Evelyn Kostecki of Du Bois, and Martha Rulevish of Tamaroa, one brother - Vernon Heck of Tamaroa, 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters - Frances Biesk and Virdell Deering, and one brother - William P. Heck.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013 at the St. Charles Catholic Church in Du Bois with Fr. Dale Maxfield officiating.

Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m., Wednesday at the Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa.

Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday at the Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa.

Burial will be in the St. Charles Cemetery at Du Bois.

Friends may make memorials to Masses or the St. Charles Catholic Church and will be accepted at the funeral home.
