Du Quoin Evening Call seeking photos, info on Darrell Anders

Thursday, January 17, 2013 marks the 30-year anniversary of the untimely passing of Du Quoin High School athletics superstar Darrell Anders. In honor of this anniversary, the Du Quoin Evening Call is asking for readers' help in preparing a story on Anders and the impact he had on others in the community to be published next week.

If you or someone you know has any photos of Darrell Anders, or would just like to share a story or interesting fact about Darrell, we encourage you to e-mail them to the Sports department at dqsports@frontier.com or bring them by our office during normal business hours. Please include your name and your connection to Darrell with the photos, stories, and/or information you provide. If you went to school with Darrell, please include the year of your graduating class.

The deadline to submit your photos or stories via e-mail is Tuesday, January 22 at 10:00 p.m. The deadline to bring photos or stories into the office is Tuesday, January 22 at 5:00 p.m. Photos dropped off at our office can be picked up anytime after January 25, 2013.
