Du Quoin native Jennifer Daulby named Congressman's Chief of Staff

Newly elected 13th District Republican Congressman Rodney Davis announced today that Jen Daulby--daughter of former longtime residents Bill & Cathy Daulby--has been appointed his congressional Chief of Staff.

Daulby, an Arlington, Va. resident, will work in Davis' Washington office.

A small area of 13th District borders this area's own 12th Congressional District in the Metro East area then heads east and north.

"I'm pleased to have been able to put together such a hard-working, experienced group of individuals," said Davis. "Our team, both in Washington and in Illinois, will fight tirelessly on behalf of every family in the 13th District. I'm also proud that each member of my staff is from the state of Illinois."

Currently, Davis has offices located in Washington, DC and Champaign, IL with plans to open more offices across the district in the coming weeks.

Ms. Daulby established the Washington, DC office for Land O'Lakes in October of 2009. She handles federal government affairs issues and lobbies Congress, and the federal agencies on behalf of the cooperative.

Prior to joining Land O'Lakes, Ms. Daulby was a lobbyist for Monsanto Company. Her areas of expertise include agriculture competition policy, intellectual property, labor, and biotech acceptance.

She also served as counsel to Congressman Steve Chabot handling issues before the House Judiciary Subcommittee on the Constitution, was legal counsel to the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Agriculture and a legislative assistant to Congressman John Shimkus.

She grew up in Du Quoin. Ms. Daulby attended Eastern Illinois University and Southern Illinois University. She has an undergraduate degree in political science and a Juris Doctor.
