Agnes Lucille (Dearmond) Fann
Agnes Lucille (Dearmond) Fann, 95, of Du Quoin, passed away at 5:10 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 31, 2013 at the Fair Acres Rehab and Care Center in Du Quoin, surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Fann enjoyed quilting, gardening and was an excellent cook. She worked for many years at the Dinner Bell Inn and Marshall Browning Hospital in Du Quoin. She was of the Protestant faith.
She was born Nov. 3, 1917 at Du Quoin, Ill., the daughter of Riley and Dora Belle (Beard) Dearmond.
She married Dan Thomas Fann on July 3, 1934 at Murphysboro, Ill. and he preceded her in death on Aug. 5, 1975.
She leaves four children - Perry Alfred Fann and wife Nora of Du Quoin, Shirley Mae Cheek and husband Bill of Pinckneyville, Patsy Lou Norris and husband Robert of Murphysboro and Danny Louis Fann and wife Marietta of Pinckneyville, eight grandchildren - Sherry Lynn Pfeaster (Murlyn), Gary Allen Fann (Barbara), Leanna Jean Leek (Kent), all of Du Quoin, Andrea Deneen Brewer (Brian), Cynthia Jo Norris and Erik Robert Norris (Amie), all of Murphysboro, Erin Elizabeth Prest (Adam) of O'Fallon, and Todd Daniel Fann of Pinckneyville, 12 great grandchildren - Susan Elaine Davis (Alan), Mark Steven Pfeaster, Sarah Elaine Cashion (Anson), all of Du Quoin, Lindsey Brooke Fann of Naples, Fla., Shantanna Brooke Fann, Tyson Geoffrey Tanner, Peyton Bethany Gregory (Jon), all of Du Quoin, Hilary Elise Brewer, Ashton Daniel Brewer, Michael Scott Bytnar, Robert Jeremey Norris, and Kyle Gage Norris, all of Murphysboro, seven great great grandchildren - Nathan Alan Lee, Matthew Steven Lee, Michael Donovan Pfeaster, Dalton McCay Pfeaster, Emily Reese Pfeaster, Ava Blaire Gregory, and Hadlyn Brooke Fann, all of Du Quoin, and great great great grandsons - Logan Ashton Lee and Camden Skylar Lee, of Du Quoin.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one daughter - Wanda Lee Fann and brother and sisters - Roy Dearmond, Ethel Swetland, and Etta Marie Saylor.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin with Bro. Gary Pruitt officiating.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.
Burial will be in the Elkville Cemetery at Elkville.
