Billie Millikin
Billie Millikin, age 78, of Pinckneyville, Ill., passed away on Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013 at 6:20 p.m. in Pinckneyville Community Hospital, Pinckneyville, Ill.
Billie was born on Sept. 2, 1934 in Pinckneyville, Ill., a son to William John and Thelma Lavaughn (Hagler) Millikin. He was of the Baptist faith and was a proud veteran of the United States Army. Billie worked at U.S. Gypsum in the shipping department for many years and enjoyed showing dairy cattle.
Survivors include by one brother, Norman "Buck" (Vicki) Millikin of Bozeman, Mont.; three sisters, Ruth Ann (Charles) Furlow of Tamaroa, Ill., Rosalie (Ronald) Kringer of Pinckneyville, Ill. and Halene (John) Overley of Kalamazoo, Mich.; three sisters-in-law, Shirley Millikin of Granite City, Ill., Carrie Millikin of Pinckneyville, Ill. and Carol Millikin of Du Quoin, Ill.; his special friend with whom he showed dairy cattle, Leroy Alwardt of Altamont, Ill.; several nieces and nephews; several great nieces and nephews and several great-great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers, Eugene "Sport" Millikin, Frank Millikin, Don Millikin and Carl Millikin
Funeral services will be held at Holts Prairie Baptist Church, Pinckneyville, Ill. on Friday, Feb. 15, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. with Brother Ivan Plemmons officiating. Interment will be Holts Prairie Cemetery, Pinckneyville, Ill.
Friends may call at Holts Prairie Baptist Church, Pinckneyville, Ill. on Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m.
Memorial donations may be made to the Billie Millikin family.
