Car overturns in morning accident

Du Quoin police, the fire department and two Pinckneyville Ambulance Service units responded to the scene of a three-vehicle accident at 7:40 a.m. this morning at intersection of East Main and Peach streets in Du Quoin.

Police say a car driven by DHS student Hannah Hill was stopped at the intersection headed south and thought that an eastbound car operated by Rachel Tilley was stopping to let her cross. As she pulled out she was struck by a westbound car driven by Brooke Eberhart. Eberhart's car rolled over. She was taken to the hospital for observation.
