Patricia Dickerson

Patricia "Gonnie" Dickerson, age 76, of Du Quoin, Ill., passed away on Friday, Feb. 22, 2013 at 5:15 a.m. in Fairview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Du Quoin, Ill.

Gonnie was born on April 10, 1936 in Du Quoin, Ill., a daughter to Thomas and Eva (Keesee) Dickerson Sr. She was a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Du Quoin, Ill., and loved doing crossword puzzles.

Survivors include one brother, Gary (Pam) Dickerson Sr. of Du Quoin, Ill.; one sister, Helen Spearman of Gary, Ind.; eight nephews, Barry Dickerson, Timothy Dickerson, Kirk Dickerson, Terry Dickerson, Gary Dickerson Jr; Edward Brooks Jr., Butch Brooks and Edward Banner and five nieces, Cheryl Dickerson Russel, Connie Banner, Susie Brooks, Pamela Brooks and Vicki Brooks.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Thomas Dickerson Jr. and Edward Brooks Sr. and a niece, Karen Dickerson.

Funeral services will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Du Quoin, Ill. on Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Leonard E. Sanders Jr. and his assistant, Doris J. Sanders officiating. Interment will be in I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Du Quoin, Ill.

Friends may call at Pyatt Funeral Home, Du Quoin, Ill. on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
