Stella B. Wisniewski

Mrs. Stella B. Wisniewski of rural Ashley, Illinois, departed this life at the Friendship Manor Health Care Center in Nashville on Friday, March 1, 2013 at 7:10 p.m. surrounded by her family. She had attained the age 86 years, six months, and one day.

Mrs. Wisniewski was born on Aug. 30, 1926 in Posen, Ill. the daughter of Michael and Helen (Kozinski) Krus. She was united in marriage to Paul L. Wisniewski at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church at Posen, Ill. on Aug. 31, 1946 and he preceded her in death on March 27, 1981.

She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church at Radom, Ill. and was a member of the Altar Sodality of the Church. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a homemaker and lifelong farmer. She enjoyed going to church, playing cards, quilting, and spending quality time with her family.

She is survived by her six children, son Michael Wisniewski of Ashley, Ill., daughters, Shirley (Fred) Buss of Coulterville, Ill., Diane (Gerald) Zmudzinski of Tamaroa, Ill., Peggy (Lewis) Dodson of Centralia, Ill., Debbie Schumacher of Alhambra, Ill. and Kimberly (Darryl) Kellerman of Todd's Mill, Ill., eight grandchildren, Carmalee (Nick) Korte, Shawn Kabat, Jill Kellerman, J.J. (Dawn) Zmudzinski, Jeff Zmudzinski, Jessica Davis, Kasey (Chris) Bauza and Paul Kellerman, 10 great grandchildren, Megan and Josh Korte, Neil Kabat, Jordan and Amanda Kellerman, Tim and Zach Zmudzinski, Ben and Cooper Davis and Bryar Bauza, a sister, Angeline Mesey of St. Louis, Mo., nieces, nephews, other relations and friends.

Stella was preceded in death by her beloved husband Paul; her parents; sisters Mary, Eve, Agnes, Theresa and Helena; brothers Valentine, Joe, Frank and Adam; a son-in-law, Chet Miller; a grandson, Jay Davis and several nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Michael Catholic Church in Radom, Ill. on Tuesday, March 5, 2013, at 10:00 a.m. with Fr. Dale Maxfield officiating and with interment in the church cemetery.

Friends may call at the Campagna Funeral Home in Ashley, Ill. on Monday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and on Tuesday from 7:30 a.m. until 9:30 a.m.

Should friends desire, mass offerings or memorials to St. Michael Catholic Church or St. Michael Cemetery may be offered and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home.
