Ethel M. Bigham

Ethel M. Bigham, age 92, of Pinckneyville, Ill., passed away on Monday, March 4, 2013 at 2:38 a.m. in Pinckneyville Health Care Center, Pinckneyville, Ill.

Ethel was born on March 21, 1920 in Perry County, Ill., a daughter to Philip and Verna (Keller) Williamson. On Feb. 5, 1949, she married Leroy L. Bigham in Pinckneyville, Ill. and he preceded her in death on April 26, 2001 after 52 years of marriage. She had worked at MCA/Decca Records, Pinckneyville, Ill. for over 25 years. She was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church, Pinckneyville, Ill., where she served as a Ladies Aid and she loved quilting.

Survivors include her daughters, Wanda (Donald) Schroeder of New Athens, Ill. and Sheryl (Art) Gill of Leesburg, Fla.; a sister, Nedra Lacy of Pinckneyville, Ill.; three grandsons, Edward (Kim) Schroeder, Gregory (Kathy) Schroeder, Kevin (Robin) Davis; numerous great-grandchildren; numerous great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Jack Davis; grandson, Kenneth Davis; and two sisters, Delores Bass and Ruth Bird.

Funeral services will be held at the First United Presbyterian Church, Pinckneyville, Ill. on Friday, March 8, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Charles Walden officiating. Interment will be in Mueller Hill Cemetery, Pinckneyville, Ill.

Friends may call at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, Ill. on Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Friday at the First United Presbyterian Church, Pinckneyville, Ill. from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m.
